A smarter way to connect with your Facebook fans
Building an audience on Facebook is a priority for many brands, but it can be difficult to create content that stands out and helps to build a more in depth customer profile.
Our friends at Newsfeed SmartApps have come up with a solution that's been used by brands like Reebok, Sandisk, HSBC and most recently by Chevrolet.
A Newsfeed SmartApp is essentially a microsite that exists within the viewer's newsfeed, letting them interact with content without leaving Facebook.
You can do pretty much anything you want within a Newsfeed App. In the Chevrolet example you can explore product features, watch a video, take a quiz and register for a quote and test drive. This last feature is particularly interesting for brands as it gives them the ability to collect customer data which can be used to market directly to fans in the future.
Newsfeed Apps are mobile friendly, there's no need to “allow the app” and they can be boosted as part of a paid campaign, enabling brands to create targeted, interactive ads.
Mud Kitchen's founders have worked with the Newsfeed App development team on projects for Samsung and the Terrence Higgins Trust. Our role is to work with clients in the UK to develop concepts and creative, ensuring maximum impact and return on investment.
